About me

Iosif Juhász - freelance translator and reviser - the first Romanian translator at the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union

This is the place where you can find useful information about my translation/interpretation services.

I am a certified linguist, native speaker of Romanian and Hungarian, with a strong professional background and over 6 years' experience working on various translation projects.

I had a full-time translation traineeship at the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union, Luxembourg.  

My professional activity is based on specialised, high quality and delivered on-time linguistic services.

Qualifications

I graduated from the "Babes-Bolyai" University, Faculty of Letters, Russian-English Department, Cluj, Romania, in 1998.

Education

Master's degree studies in Slavic Languages at "Babeş-Bolyai" University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Master Degree obtained in 1999 for the thesis on Russian and English Proverbs and Sayings.

1994 - 1998 University studies in Russian and English Language and Literature at "Babeş-Bolyai" University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Bachelor's Degree. (Research conducted on borrowings of English origin in the Russian language).

Certificate of Advanced Course of Practical Russian Language (1996, 2002) at Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.

International Summer Language School at University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, the Czech Republic (summer of 1997 and 1998).
